first...the auditioners weren't as aggressive and as flambuoyant in their attires and costumes as compared to the AmIdol wannbes na sobrang "WOW" ang reaction mo sa pananamit nila because they look either like a porn star or a freak...once in a while.. there's the power-dresser(job interview ba ito?) and then there's the proper-dresser...

second e yung aura of the judging rooms... it was empty, save for the 3 judges... wala akong nakitang PA or something... it looked a bit creepy.... and I think it made the contestants a bit more nervous...

third e yung hosting style ni Ryan Agoncillo... medyo... hhmmm... a bit contrived but it's still the beginning of the season... baka "withdrawal" ko palang yan kay Seacrest kasi he's the host I've come to know... but more power to Ryan A. anyway!..

fourth..and may I say the most peculiar.. is that when I was watching AmIdol... I laughed at the pitch problems and the personality disorders of the auditioners... but in Philippine Idol.. I CRINGED at them!.. hehehehehehe.. Para bang I was a bit embarrased for them.... ooohh.. sorry....

but I think I'm gonna like this show... the difference between Idol and the "other singing shows" is that contemporary music seems to fall on the backside and the "birit" style or the "serenade" style comes front-and-center... But I must admit... and birit style e medyo finofollow ko...i don't know why... I like the range(?)... and you could see that the judges are really QUALIFIED JUDGES who send INTELLIGENT SINGERS(save a few) to the next round... hindi tulad ng iba diyan... cash-cow kung ituring ang mga contestants kaya minsan mali ang choice of winner... tuloy... FLOP!!...

hopefully... Idol stomps out the supremacy of ABSCBN singingshows... frankly.. I don't get the domination of this network...whose biggest star did not come from a brain-child contest...but rather.. was enticed through money and exposure...

supposedly... ngayon ang panahon na mapapatunayan natin ang ating mga pagkakaibigan and the fulfilment of promises made on the dying days of high school... alam kong naipakita nating friends tayo nung nasa school pero ngayon ang panahon kasi now we aren't contained in the bubble known as MaSci!!...you were the one who stressed the need for constant communication and yet.. it seems that you are the 1 who lives in the auspices of silence!...

am I supposed to just forget yung promises na yun?... I'm sorry.. if I were less of a human being I could.. but I can't!!...hindi ko kaya because I am a person who as much as possible keeps my promises to the extent of my abilities!!.. kung sinabi kong gagawin ko... sobrang lala na siguro ng mga obstacles kaya di ko magawa....

Last night I was watching the Jerry Springer show and it was about Porn stars and their angry mothers...I wasn't able to catch the first segment but I was quite taken by the second....

The mother's name: Tracy

The daughter/porn star's name: Julia

Tracy couldn't believe that her daughter was a porn star until she was forced to watch a movie of her daughter afterwhich, she still couldn't believe it...

Tracy seemed like such a meek mother and such a caring mother... and when her daughter came out to the stage..she seemed so loving that she even hugged her instead of the usual "I'll kick your ass you little bitch" greeting that most springer-guests give....

At the near-end of the show, when they brought out all of the guests and the audience could then ask them questions... there were these people who poked fun at Julia... even after Tracy said that she was disgusted by what Julia was doing.... she got up (tracy) and challenged those people to a fight, although she was quite chubby and looked like she would get beaten up... she didn't raise a hand on her daughter, save just to hold her and tell her to come back home with her, which Julia declined to do... just goes to prove that mothers are not able to and will never be able to resist their children....

but what happened to the youth of this generation?... we have all been plagued by violence... immorality... sex and a lot more...(i plead guilty to all...hehehehehehe) ...nowadays...5 year olds know of guns and of carnage... These days it seems like, quoting from Lucas on One Tree Hill, mothers send their sons off to the world like nations send men off to war...we fear the dark of night because of the looming threat of death in the hands of a teenager or a young adult who's meekness has been taken from him by the slums... INNOCENCE is now a rare commodity...

Now I don't want to be a hypocrite and give a lecture on the matter... I myself am so lost of innocence... but it cannot be helped if one, such as myself, wonders why these things have happened... after all.. we are only human....

i guess that's it... for centuries we have used that excuse..."Oooooohh... I did something wrong... but hey!.. I'm only human!"... and now we wonder why the human race is all fucked up... hahahahaha.. I answered my own question... bwahahaha... God save the human race!

Last night, as I was watching Nip/Tuck, na napaka-morbid at emotinally confusing... I was suddenly beset with a new aspiration... may bago akong gustong maaccomplish sa aking buhay and hopefully.. I can accomplish it ASAP...
Gusto kong mapunta sa isang heart-wrenching argument na kung saan lahat ay nag-iiyakan at sasabihin ko ito....

hahaha.. ang taray di ba?... ala lang.. I don't know how or why this came to my mind... It's just something I have to add to the things I have to do before I die... the other things dun e to force my most hated adversary to use her teeth to take the deed of her house and all her belongings from a giant puddle of mud na siyempre.. pinasarap ng fertilizer na ALL-NATURAL!... sarap nun!... MariMar ang drama!

I don't get the point why some people REFUSE TO BATHE kahit ilang araw na silang hindi naliligo!... kahit nangangamoy alingasngas na sila e ayaw pa rin and they force those who do take baths to keep their heads from bleeding because of the stink.. please naman.. a little consideration...

ang taray ni Gloria kahapon! sa kanyang SONA para sa taong 2006(or is it for the entire remainder of her tenure?) she stressed the importance of rehabilitating and improving the country's infrastructure and the cultivation of the resources that all of the regions could offer; make way for the "Mega Regions" initiative of the Palace...

She presented a lot of good points that would indeed bring a whole bunch of incentives and rewards for this growing country... If we look at it in a critical point of view... once the investments from the projects pay-off... the trickle-down effect would start at siyempre... mula sa mga mayayaman hanggang sa mga mahihirap e makakakuha ng benefits...

But on a different note.. I loved it when she taunted her foes on the impeachment...let's face it.. her comments that were satyrical were all against the attempts to impeach her.. which I think, will go nowere... 79 people... that's a dream for the opposition!...(let's wait til elections 2007)... I couldn't help but laugh as she said "For those who want to pick up old fights, we're game..." hahahahahahahahahaha!! Go girl!

(Miss Puerto Rico)

Latin America wins it again.. after 2 years of drought... Latin America once again caps the International Pageant scene when Ms. Puerto Rico Zuleyka Rivera Mendoza was crowned as Ms. Universe 2006.

Japan followed, winning 2nd place, Switzerland with 3rd, Paraguay with 4th, and followed by the United States with 5th.

Personally, I would have chosen Ms. Philippines (is my bias showing?.. hehehehe.. I was praying for her name to be called come top 20.. but unfortunately.. it seems that 2006 is not our year...) or Ms. Japan...Ms. Paraguay was a close third... but hey.. no one can beat that chain dress worn by Ms. Puerto Rico which showed everything.. hehehehehe

For me, it's just a puzzler that most of the time.. it's the South Americans that win the pageants while the europeans trail most of the time.. I mean.. South America was colonized by the Dutch.. the Spaniards.. Potuguese.. the French... and the English... I find it quite weird that these countries seldom make it to the top 20.. what more the top 5 or the crown itself? Most of the time... it's the former spanish colonies that win... and as for Spain... well.. we could just say that they aren't getting that lucky...I'm not saying that they don't win.. it's just that the ratio of wins of South Americans as compared to the European conquerors are about 5:1... has the union of European and South American blooid created a SUPER HUMAN FORM? ...that's unfair!.. the Philippines was also colonized by Spain........

I find the domination of pageants by the South Americans quite boring already... it's like the domination of Federer in tennis.. usually when I watch the game... and Federer is playin.. it's like a no-brainer.. he's gonna win so why bother watching?!..the surprise in the pageant was the absence of Venezuela...

Well... they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I guess the beholders that have a say in the pageants are into Latinas.. hehehehehe...

dapat ay pupunta ako ngayon ng UP diliman upang makipag-bonding sa aking mga friends dun- makipagchikahan.. makipagdaldalan.. at maglibot-libot sa aking paaralan... kaso hindi na ako tumuloy kasi ang mga kikitain ko dung mga tao, aside from JayR e may ginagawa at "cannot be" ang kanilang reply sa mga text ko kung pwede silang makita at makasama mamaya... ang boring naman nun kung si Jai lang diba?...no offense jai!..hehehehehe...

lam niyu... i am so proud to be a student of UP...kahit hindi pa ako pumapasok(lord... why did I defer?.. hehehehe.. I admit that was an error in judgment..like other stuff) ...e ramdam ko na na sobrang magiging satisfied ang life ko dun (or I could be the fool)...

hindi naman sa minamaliit ko ang ibang schools...pero ang UP ay constantly nasa top 50 ng Best Universities in Asia list... that syays a lot...

nung nag-UPCAT ako akala ko talaga hindi ako papasa... akala ko my 25 blanks in Mathematics (yes.. i suck at math- word problems the most! at ginawa ko lang yang bwisit ng blanks na yan kasi akala ko a blank won't be conidered erroneous hence, walang bawas ng .25!) at yung bwisit na reading comprehension na yan would seal my casket and forever deny me my slot in the state university... but I guess that I aced the other areas kasi accepted ako!... hehehehe.. at take note.. hindi siya DPWS!.. wee!... hehehehehe..

(ayon kay Jeremie Ateneo Aspirants daw...hehehehe..)...pumasa kaming lahat kaso hindi kinaya ng aming wallets ang tuition!!... this was taken during our attempt to watch The Da Vinci Code sa Glorietta... the girls wore their razorbacks.. I wore my versace polo... and kevin....well...let's just say that he didn't follow the dress code.. hehehehehe...

ok ok ok.. kahapon yung laban ng Ateneo Blue Eagles at ng UP Fighting Maroons... we knew that it was going to be such an exciting game that's why we bought our tickets and cheered as hard as we could for the UP team...(xmpre mga taga-UP e..hehehehe)...

we were quite many in a rough estimate... i mean... objectively, we were just a few... but in terms of the usual people who would go out and have fun just for leisure that I know of- we were a batallion.. usually kasi mga 5 lang kami or less.. hehehehe..

kasama din namin nun si noreen... she had some worries in the beginning na dahil hindi siya Linnae e baka ma out of place siya... but I told her that wqe're not like that.. I mean we are a tight-knit group... but we are pretty accomodating... kasi gusto namin marami kaming friends... she bought the ticket of Adriene, who was unable to watch the game because of family matters.. hehehehe... sayang ien!

we walked to the stadium and there were these scalpers who were pretty weird... they were asking us if we had extra tickets... as if we were gonna give it to them?!... hello?!.. our tickets cost us 100 php! do they honestly think we'd give it to them?...what a bunch of losers...

well anyway... yung side na inallot for the UP and NU supporters was pretty DISMAL!... i mean.. yung air-conditioning was off...the chairs in the upperbox section was non-existent at wala pang screen na nakalaan sa amin para makita namin kung paano natetelevise yung game..

UP was leading for the first few minutes... and then Ateneo... and then UP... and then Ateneo... at the end of the first half.. things were like an alternating pattern of sorts... papalitpalit yung lead!

ang galing nung pep squad ng UP!!..kinda reminds me of the 3rd year cheering competition sa MaSci... napaka-energetic!..parang yung peppers namin nun!..they got the crowd roaring and certainly beat the ADMU cheerleaders by a mile!... puro rudimentary skills lang kasi yung pinakita ng mga atenista...but they made a good performance... i clapped for them- to show respect(pero nung ginagawa nila yung routine nila I was boo-ing them...hahahaha)...

nung nagsimula na yung 2nd half... UP started to have problems... lumaki ang lamang ng ADMU.. But the weird thing was that whenever UP started to rally close to the equalizer mark... tinatawag ng referee na traveling o foul... e halata namang hindi (or is it just my bias for UP?.. sabi din nung mga kaklase ko hindi naman daw....totoo daw yun na parang naluto!)...well.. it all ended up with us losing.... nung kinakanta yung "UP Naming Mahal" I couldn't help but feel so proud that yun ang school ko... lalo na nung sinabing pag-asa ng bayan...wow..

sayang din at di kami nagkita ni paulo dun!..i mean..we've known each other for around 4 months at hindi parin kami introduced personally... hahahahaha...

Next time...we're gonna win!!... championship here we come!!

just last night I had a talk with my mom about myself...and my orientation... it was prompted by Oprah...no matter how phony I think she is... she was such a life-saver... so I'll be indebted to her forever.. (yuck..)... her topic in the program that was shown here yesterday was about gays and lesbians... how they came out and what the repercussions were...

ath the latter part of the program, they had a segment about a teenage girl who came out and her mother was so disappointed to the point that she almost disowned her own daughter... that was the signal that started everything... I started thinking if mama was going to disown me if I were to say that I was on that side of the fence... then I told myself that it wasn't time yet... I'd wait til the time when I am to go home from the States because I know that I could not handle the situation if it were to turn ugly and she be mad at me so much...

but my face betrayed me...

we talked about it and at first I was so afraid that I swerved from the point for a couple of times... but then, I had to just say it and I expected the worst...

do you know those times that you expect the worst and the best possible scenario starts to play out?...yun yung nangyari... I expected mama to burst out in anger and she didn't!... she said she understood and just wanted my happiness...my true happiness... that was such a moment of drama...

then it was a period of heavy tears and hugs... I was so happy and sad at the same time coz of what was happening... I knew that in a way... I was killing or stiffling her dream for me... but happy because finally... I had taken this huge load off my chest... that I had, at last, given notice to the elephant in the room...she told me that she didn't want me to be of the extra flambuoyant kind... and I said I wasn't like that... It's the neotype of this orientation that I advocate..the more masculine one... (hehehehehe...)(misplaced laughter) ...

she told me that she didn't want me to grow old alone...(i hope not!!..please God!...)... and she made me promise that I give the other side of the fence a try... since it would be foolish to completely detach myself from it without experiencing it... I promised...I mean...there are times that i am attracted to women...just so happens that there's no physical attraction most of the time... just emotional connections and a sort of SPIRITUAL CHEMISTRY...yan ang problem...

but I'm so happy that mama and I were finally able to talk about it.. it was a long time coming... a long time coming...

and now, I start a new chapter in my life...

nuong isang araw, nakita ko sa TV na may french woman who was robbed in Intramuros by woment who drugged her drink..maybe they put a ruffy in it.. and she was hysterrical!.. my golly... that was such a humiliating moment for the WHOLE PHILIPPINES!!.. the spanish conquerors called us "Las Islas de Ladrones" and we're proving them right?... what happened to our sense of dignity?.. has it finally dissipated into thin air and finally abandoned our race?... mahiya naman sana tayo.. we're starting to look like hypocrites!...there is an internal contradiction in our sense of nationality.. we declaim our love and pride in our country yet we, ourselves, betray her... we smear on her image and slowly diminish her constitution as a nation... now is that what our culture is?...

you know what.. sometimes I think of my country and it's rich culture..it's beautiful and vibrant history... and I start to feel proud... yet when I see the contemporary setting of this republic... I'm so ashamed to say this.. but the pride slowly decreases and sometimes... all that's left is my yearning to feel that pride again...I am so proud to be a Filipino, i couldn't even give the right words to express it... but sometimes... it's so f*ckin' hard to justify why...

sa wakas ay nagpa-interview na rin si Zizou... he appeared last night in Canal+ and in a way explained the headbutting incident to the masses of French and international spectators befundled by his actions 10 minutes til the end of his career... and my earlier reports were right... Materazzi somehow insulted Zizou's family-something that is of terrible consequence to people having asian or middle eastern lineage... if that type of commenting is common in Italian Soccer...then they should pray for forgiveness because they are going to hell.. bwahahahahahaha (laugh of Satan)..hihihihihihi..joke..in the interview...my gulay...his eyes were piercingly deep...I just wanted to swoon forever in it...hohohohohohohohohoho..

it's a friggin' sad day for me... as well as the entire population of France and the Les Bleus supporters all over the world...




I'm disappointed at the game coz I know that the resorting to the penalty shoot-out, which saw the Azzurris crush Les Bleus 5-3, wouldn't have happened had Zinadine "Zizou" Zidane not been sent off the pitch.

At the last game of his career as a professional soccer player, he does the unthinkable and headbutts Marco Materazzi... for some undisclosed reason... but as I was watching the game.. nakita ko yung parang nagkasagutan sila sa isang part dun... kinakausap ni Zidane si Materazzi tapos di siya pinapansin nung gagong yun...edi siguro Zidane snapped and hit the guy at the chest with his head...

May part din dun na pinakitang kausap ni Zizou yung goalkeeper ng Italy na si Buffo... Zizou was crying... yan kasi... bad boy siya... but then again... he's my kind of bad boy... it broke my heart...

It just bugs me to think na baka pag namention yung name niya...ang maaalala ng tao e yung moment of madness niyang yun...the lump in my throat couldn't be any bigger....

i think hindi ko kayang maging masaya sa pagkapanalo ng Italy... ewan ko ba..kahit nasa kanila ang SEXIEST PLAYERS... there's something there that makes me uneasy...

tapos magiging in danger pa yung high possibility na manalo siya nung Golden Ball... fuck...

i hope that things go well for him...i know he deserves to be a legend...he IS a legend...

Anu tong naririnig kong may bagong "Science High School" sa Manila?... Sa aking pagkakaalam e iisa lang yun!...ang Manila Science High School!! the only science high school in the division!..e anu tong naririnig ko na si Atienza e may sinosoportahang bagong science high school e hindi nga niya magawang pagandahin ang MaSci?!...frankly, I am outraged by that!...so dahil may bigating mga pangalan sa MALAYAN HIGH SCHOOL OF SCIENCE e biglang dun niya ibubuhos ang support niya... this statement makes me more red...

Honorable Manila Mayor Jose "Lito" Atienza, Jr., who was the guest of honor during the inauguration and blessing of the edifice and its facilities last Monday, lauded the significant efforts of the Malayan team, led by Yuchengco, to give young Manileños better competencies in the sciences.

"I’m sure it will inspire the creativity and the potential of our young who will study in this institution. And I’m doubly happy because this is exactly what Manila is trying to accomplish – to provide a development-oriented environment to our young and old today to excite them into action and to wake them up to our potentials as a city that was once upon a time admired, copied and used as a model by the other Asian cities who are now far advanced, ahead of us," he said in his speech.

Atienza was referring to the Manila being the model of development for the whole of Asia at one point in the past, saying that the city cradles to a string of firsts in the realm of development, among which are the vehicular underpass, pedestrian underpass, airline, yacht club and first zoo.

The Philippines, Atienza said, is very rich in resources but they have never been managed well to provide the Filipinos with opportunities for productivity. And, in order to get back on the right track, Atienza emphasized the need to prioritize a well-administered education for young Filipinos.

"Nasa wastong pagsasanay ng kagalingan ng ating mga kabataan ang kinabukasan. Education in general and sciences in particular are the characters and elements of our people that need to be attended to," he stressed, adding that it is the primary concern of his administration."What we need is a studentry who will not only be developed in their skills but also imbued with social consciousness, involvement in the community, good citizenship, confidence in what one can do and love of country," Atienza concludes.

a ganon?! so masci is not enough to feed the INTELLECTUAL HUNGER of Manileños?!... Before mayor atienza says anything more outrageous and utterly disgusting as this, he should think first that Manila Science High School has brought home the brunt of Manila's academic (science included) achievements!...hindi pa ba yun enough para MaSci ang suportahan niya?... now he has to laud this intruder for some reason...maybe MaSci isn't enough for him...bakit? dahil walang tumatangkilik sa mga diary at notebook na pinamimigay niya?

baka nagbibitter lang ako sa pangyayari...you see...nasanay ako sa depravity ng masci... we ask for help from the city hall but we are refused such kasi bawal daw ang special treatment sa manila.....but we'll see which between the 2 will reign supreme bilang ang katangitanging science High School sa Manila...

but if I see the city giving to this "copycat" what it didn't give to MaSci...i swear that I will rally as many alumni as I can and give the "mayor" a piece....

PORTEY!!!

ayan!!..katuwa kagabi!!...it was my first concert as a "collegiate" of sorts...at ang aking first official ROCK concert... ginanap ang Fresh2Play, ang culminating activity ng freshmen week sa UPd; held ito sa UP Bahay ng Alumni... it was such a thrill!...ang daming bands na nandun!!..para bang napaka- important namin dahil ang compendium of bands e sobrang A-List!..kulang na lang e Bamboo... hehehehehehe...but not to worry...i know that the band'll make an appearance some other time... maybe come UP fair?

the bands were...at least yung mga worth mentioning e...

pero mas nagulat ako nung nalaman kong UPd students sila!...wtf?!...

galing akong UPdiliman kahapon, in the hopes na finally, e matatapos na rin yung aking dilemma over the deferement of my enrollment...yun pala e absent si ms. registrar!.. medyo nakakaasar a.. hehehehehe..pero at least I was able to but the ticket para sa Fresh to Play...yan ang concert na free sa mga freshmen.. haaayy.. kinda sad na hindi ko maeexpereince ang freshman week... unless maging freshaman ako next year at maging kayear ko ang mga kinasusuklaman kong 07ers(yung iba lang naman..yung iba ok lang ...pero still....) ...got to bond with my friends there...

ok ok ok... WEEEEEHH!!! France advances to the Finals of the World Cup!! I'm so happy-o-gaga over it!1..hehehehehe... yeah yeah.. I know that we're really not that connected to the sport, as Edgar mentioned in his comment during my first post about the Cup.... but if my friends can scream for Dwayne Wade during the NBA conferences and the finals, then I have the same right to scream for France and Zidane too!

well.. kahapon ay nagtungo ako ng UPdiliman para ayusin na once and for all ang deferment ko na inakala kong ayos na...yun pala ay hindi pa!!...linyik na Online Deferment yan!..hindi pa pala nila pinoprocess yun!...edi ano ako?...Missing in Action student ako!..hehehehehe ... babalik pa ako sa wednesday para makuha ko na yung decision letter nila...

ayan!!... full support na ako sa National Team ng France sa World Cup!!.. naway sila ang manalo!!... ewan ko ba..i always decide to side with the underdogs...at ayaw ko yung mga mukang alam na nila na sila ang mananalo... para bang wala na kasing excitement pag ganun...

a good example would be Brazil...parang wala na atang hindi nag-expect na sila ang magiging champions... wala ng excitement.. "woi..the next match is England and Brazil...Brazil is gonna win..yadiyadiyada.."wala ng thrill!...

ang galing pa ni Zinedine Zizou Zidane at ni Thierry Henry!...they were the true stars of the match kaya talagang well deserved and buzz na natatanggap nila ngayon...idol ko na ngayon si Zizou!!!!
